IT Support Specialist

Description:

Performs work of moderate complexity involving the installation, programming, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of school technology systems including bell and paging systems, IP telephone systems, IP video surveillance, security and alarm systems, data cabling, and classroom technology including computers, mobile devices, video projection systems, audio systems, and other associated technology.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist students and staff with hardware and software support in a mixed environment.
  • Image, setup and configure student and staff computers; Configure and troubleshoot applications.
  • Perform network administration including administering Microsoft Active Directory; updating Window servers and VMware servers.
  • Setup, maintain and troubleshoot Google accounts.
  • Maintain and update the school website.
  • Purchase or renew subscriptions and licenses to programs in use at the school; Acquire and apply appropriate and approved upgrades;
  • Install, maintain and or relocate computer network wireless access points.
  • Assist staff in the use and setup of video projection systems, audio systems, and associated peripherals.
  • Configure, program, and maintain, school bell/paging systems, IP telephone systems, security system, and video surveillance systems.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or requested
Qualifications:
  • High School graduate or equivalent; Associate’s and/or Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Minimum job-related experience; 3 years’ experience in Help Desk support preferred; experience with MacBooks, iPads, Windows 10, Microsoft Office 2013-2016 skills, Windows Server 2012, Active Directory administration, and VMware 5.5
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work with others in a team environment.
  • Able to multi-task and work in an environment of changing priorities.

Director of Professional Learning

Responsibilities:

Coaching

  • Provide ongoing mentoring of all teachers to include skill development in curriculum, instruction, and assessment.

  • Collaborate with leadership team in evaluating the needs of the teaching staff.

  • Plan, prepare and implement staff development based on student data, teacher needs and research-based best practices in instruction and assessment.  Provide support of student learning through observation, feedback, cognitive coaching, and data analysis.

  • Assists in the orientation of new staff members to the teaching environment especially as it relates to the area of students, personnel policy and procedures and general building practices.

School Assessment Coordinator

  • Responsible for assisting the coordination and the administration of state and district assessments.  

  • Provides professional development and coordination for school assessments in testing protocols, security, and processing of test materials.

Student Support

  • Assists in the role of instructional leader to promote student behavior that is supportive, and conducive, to the implementation of the school’s instructional programs and goals.  

  • Assists with student orientation; counseling; discipline; due process; data gathering; and student recognition.

  • Assumes responsibility for implementing discipline procedures as stated in the Student Handbook. Develops innovative strategies, preventative approaches, and proactive plans for students who exhibit at-risk behaviors.

  • Acts in a supportive role with the principal in work with parents, teachers, and the
    community to promote the effective flow of communications and ensure positive
    relations with parents, business leaders and community members. Listens and
    responds to parent concerns with sensitivity. Conducts parent and student
    meetings and attends all after-school activities.

Salary Range: $45,000 USD Annual-$75,000 USD Annual

6th-7th-8th Grade Technology Teacher

Description:

Teach 7th- 8th Grade Technology using Core Knowledge and the Colorado Academic Standards.  The position includes all other general responsibilities associated with a teaching position, including attending staff meetings, collaborating with colleagues, preparing grades, communicating with parents regularly, and conducting Parent/Teacher conferences.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop appropriate Computer Science Technology Curriculum for students in grades 7-8.

  • Create and support effective digital age learning environments to maximize the learning of all students.

  • Introduction to Coding

  • Conducts ongoing assessment of student growth and progress in the computer science activities, and modifies instructional methods to fit individual student’s needs, including students with special needs; conducts individual and small group instruction as needed.


Qualifications:

  • CDE Teaching License

  • Able to work 7:30-4:00 M-F

  • Strong audio-visual and computer skills

  • Creative approach to lesson planning and presentation to students
